法政匯思就2016年律師會理事會選舉的聲明(Statement in relation to the 2016 Law Society Council Election)

The Law Society of Hong Kong's Annual General Meeting will take place on 26 May 2016. Six vacancies on the Law Society Council (the Council consists of twenty members in total) are up for election this year, with nine solicitors having presented themselves as candidates for fill these vacancies. In other words, there will be a contested election for Law Society Council positions this year. In this regard, the Progressive Lawyers Group does not wish to involve itself in ways that may be misunderstood as attempts to politicise the process. We will therefore not be endorsing any of the candidates.
