在香港的這場角力,在五年前,甚或再早的五年前,其實異見的一方,一直都處在下風。因為當權的一方,把上述的把戲掌握得恰到好處。6.9晚上十一時許的一份「態度照舊」的聲明、之後多次言之無物的記者招待會、七一晚守了立會一整天,夜幕降臨忽然消失無蹤,讓立法會中門大開的警察,太多的不能言喻、無法解釋。

The Progressive Lawyers Group appealed to protesters to exercise self-restraint, saying in a statement that their cause “may be undermined by any unwarranted use of force.” But the statement added that “the abuse of power by those in public office does far more damage to the rule of law than disobedience of the law.”

警立會蒐DNA掀白色恐怖

法政匯思召集人、大律師吳宗鑾指出,示威者一旦被捕,有權保持緘默,向警方表明需找律師協助。吳提醒,不論他人「點𠱁你或者點樣話幫你」,被捕者皆有權不作任何回應,更毋須應警方要求將電話或電腦解鎖,以供對方檢查或蒐證。此外,被捕者亦不需簽署任何文件。

2019 年 7 月 2 日清晨 4 時,行政長官及幾位官員在警察總部舉行記者會,就前一晚闖入立法會大樓示威者所使用的暴力作出譴責。就此,法政匯思發表聲明回應。 (At 4 am on 2 July 2019, the Chief Executive and her colleagues held a media session at the police headquarters. Lawyers denounce Carrie Lam indifference to protest deaths

The pro-democracy Progressive Lawyers Group issued a statement saying Chief Executive Carrie Lam’s failure to listen to the people is “far more troubling” than the damage done by protesters to the Legco building, RTHK reports.
